#16 changing the brain
it is possible to change the brain by changing thinking but to change thinking implies changing consciousness with its ingrained habits of thinking feeling and willing in other words it implies the need to change some innermost conditionings and to do so is uncomfortable and meets resistance and yet the being that we all are is a singular unified entity and actually has sovereign power to enact change but to do so requires patience and endurance possibly motivated by a sense of responsibility towards others and the planet itself indeed a profound need for change should be because of a realisation that all life is interconnected and therefore so are our destinies but to return to the theme of brain and consciousness change a vital principle must be adhered to namely that we are thinkers not thoughts and as thinkers we are entities that have the freedom to think whatever is thinkable and therefore we contribute to the manifestation of the world by means of our thinking but our thinking can either be autonomous or automatic and here is the great divide that is of the most urgent need to understand and embody and ensoul and to really explore what it means to think autonomously and yet aligned with cosmic truth and purpose and here my friends is the greatest challenge possible for human beings that of transforming the mind and becoming rulers of our own thinking and yet not in isolation nor separation and to penetrate this synthesis of universal and personal so as to consciously weave in and out of the magical gift of life
#17 inner space travel
uninvited at least consciously extraordinary inspired intuitive phases eventually ensue rather like a comet traversing the night sky and the soul then returning to a sense of orderliness as if landing back on earth following such a space flight and as surprising as it was to enter the cosmic zone so it is to find oneself back on solid ground whence it is acknowledged that suprasensory consciousness cannot be possessed and one humbly becomes quite human again giving thanks to the muses that entered the bio spheric realm for a day or two and for those who have not yet consciously encountered mystical dimensions of being let it be said that they will approach if the recipient is patient ethical honest and kind because spiritual energies and entities also respond to that which they feel naturally attracted to and let it be known that life is multidimensional and even knowing this can open thinking to a greater feeling and perspective and the truth is that we are not alone but can freely isolate ourselves but this is not what the cosmic vision and entelechy or divine purpose is attempting to unfold but also let it be known that the principle of freedom is sacrosanct and a human being is meant to be aligned with those extraordinary forces that even by writing this are again entering into my bio spheric vehicle and my friends the message is needing to be transmitted that as we think so is what manifests in our lives although not in predictable ways but nonetheless as is required for our own evolution and that of the world
#18 quality ahead of quantity
i am no pam ayers who by the way is a wonderful poetic story teller but my words are my own as are the experiments that ensue from my thoughts and end up as diatribes on a computer screen that a few people really like and most do not understand what it is i am on about and in the case of one friend who especially thinks i am wasting my time but strangely reads my non grammatical pieces and in one case three times before informing me that he can’t make head or tails out of it and he really thinks he is doing me a favour in letting me know that he and no one else know what i am on about or if they do don’t like how i write and this is interesting because it confronts me with what is quite possibly a truth that he is informing of namely that my experiment in non-grammatical flow does not have a large appreciative audience but that does not matter to me because most of what is popular on social media has little interest for me either and also because even if only a few resonate with my strings of words that by the way are best experienced read in a steady rhythmic flow it is enough because creativity is a uniquely individual phenomena and popularity should not be the aim and art of which literature is an arm has always included rebellion and has championed the message of freedom of thinking and expression of which in our present world culture there is a threat that would render humanity slaves of materialism and mediocrity
#19 history
on a more serious note history would reveal vital urgent insights into the human dilemma which is simultaneously the cultural dilemma because history repeats its patterns even if in externally yet superficial manifestations but it can be observed that within historical repetitions there are the most powerful influencing forces namely that of human thinking and as the ghost within the machine being the supreme power and agency of human thinking that shapes culture and everything that we can perceive as modern culture is therefore as a result of human thinking but the most powerful forces of human thinking in shaping culture belong to the so-called ruling classes of the rich and powerful who pass down to the masses of actually less wealthy and powerful the ideology that we should all accept and live our lives by and because these at the top of the pyramid of the ruling status quo have only materialistic aims in their thinking the masses are indoctrinated to accept this perspective too and even support it as normal living with all its rules and laws and daily mechanistic aims so consciousness that awakens to this dilemma in its historical unfolding can ask how can this destructive process transform and for this to be contemplated another free flow of intuitive thinking will be required
20: deep listening
the greatest truth is beyond personal thinking with its preferred ideas and limited range of subjective experience and understanding but unfortunately the lack of humbly acknowledging this truth leads to stubborn conflicts and adversarial antagonisms but this can be countered by developing the capacity of deep listening whence we transcend our tendencies to feel and think of our own views as the center and rather allow the center to be whoever is sharing and this has been an experimental process for some years following my induction into the Lakota tradition of hocokah which is a talking and listening circle whereby each person in the circle in sequence gets to hold a talking stick and no one is allowed to interrupt and the idea is to allow each person to express in safety and not attack anyone’s else’s views and my dear friends this has proven to be very effective in obvious and not so obvious ways because learning how to deeply listen to another is transformative in itself with this indicating how we need to relate to each other in a future world in which life will be honoured and humanly inflicted suffering a thing of the past
