#21 a modern renaissance
there is a conversion from ordinary thinking to extraordinary thinking from personal identity to universal spaciousness and this conversion demands a movement from an old dominant paradigm to a reality that only a few human beings have been totally transformed by throughout recorded history or even as characters in myth or story and yet this conversion experience is our possible greater destiny and even glimpsing this reality can set a soul on a living inner adventure towards a sublime alchemical transformation and it can be observed that the explosion of interest in alternative health art metaphysical and spiritual themes especially since the 1960’s reveals that masses of people are consciously or subconsciously yearning for such soul food and that the monotonous mediocre profit driven materialistic sensory devoid of depth paradigm that has reduced human life to little more than a survivalist repetitive mechanical robotic time bound automatic process but dear friends this can change and the soul with its capacity to think feel and will has conversion close by because it is the inner reality and is akin to a seed merely needing water and sun in order to burst its shell and the crust of the earth and begin the new paradigmatic experience we secretly yearn for and let it be said that this conversion is no longer a luxury but a necessity
#22 ancient stories
there is an inner esoteric movement that perceives that story telling especially regarding one’s own life is an inferior level of human consciousness and that it is unconsciously a way of avoiding the power inherent within the present moment and is a hypnotic activity that fills in the space with attempted entertainment not that stories never have an appropriate place in the scheme of things but in the urgency of our present times a wilful choosing of immediate presence in its stillness and emptiness is the calling of an evolving consciousness that needs to penetrate beyond the veil beyond our old identities that are entwined with our personal stories and this esoteric approach suggests that the new consciousness that humanity needs is one that transcends the thinking that dwells in the past which is not to be confused with an interest in history and this perspective challenges the view that story is deeply significant which certainly has been believed for instance among indigenous peoples but the old traditional stories were more like moral tales more metaphorical more mythic and intended to be symbolic of profound realities and truths whereas in these modern times stories tend to be ways of justifying one’s own fixed views or bolstering one’s sense of identity so with this in mind I shall examine my own motives for telling stories
#23 magical dream visitations
the stream water was clear and clean but not deep enough therefore my plan was to return and deepen it and then if necessary stock it with little fish that would grow in time and with this I followed the stream walking along the bank until it became a wide river and to my surprise I observed a number of dolphins breaking the surface in their motion until I held out the only thing I carried with me which was orange peel and the dolphins became large elk like creatures and one came bounding towards me and I quickly retreated into a cabin where the intention was to obtain proper food to give to these beings and then I awoke with the sense that these were magical beings informing me that the intention to deepen the stream to invite new life into its waters led to going with the flow as I followed and l walked downstream and thus it led to a river with dolphins also moving downstream and this in turn led to unexpected magical elk like creatures bounding across the water towards me offering an altogether transformed experience of connection with the living quality of life and on awakening from this lucid dream actual waking communications of a surprising nature were apparent and dream images and art and life felt as if merging in forms and flows that were indeed as new consciousness and life encouraging the soul onwards
#24 a man jumping from a cliff
eventually following what felt as if a thousand life times he threw off the procrastination and leapt off the cliff into the abyss not to obliterate himself but rather to be resurrected not to escape once again into outworn fantasies but rather to welcome the light of truth and he dived deep across a threshold into the known unknown where the liberated friends awaited with exultant joy in their hearts as another kindred soul at last joined them and this is your future too only delayed by a refusal to surrender but you will eventually leap into the abyss of transformation for it is your destiny as a cosmic being clothed in human physicality
#25 enslavement
what will it take to wake up from a hypnotic state induced by a cabal of forces whose main intention is to enslave humanity and control our minds and reduce our identity to a technologically manipulated central power and enforce their sick will into us so that we have no autonomy and what will it take to recognise that their pathological obsessions are destroying the very foundations on which we all exist namely the biosphere and nature in its wondrous diversity and what will it take for us to rise up against this monstrous agenda and heartless authoritarianism and overthrow them and replace them with wise compassionate caretakers and at least in places where people can vote what will it take to ensure a future worth having for future generations
